The wine: Located to the very north of Beaune, the Clos du Roi is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic first growths of its appellation; the latter notably owes his name to the numerous royal tables that have welcomed him over the centuries. The vines of the Decelle & Fils estate here are over 50 years old and the grapes harvested produce year after year intense, fragrant wines with a long aging potential. >huge slap that awaits you! Ppower and complexity emanate on the palate where deep spicy aromas immediately emerge (pepper, clove, star anise etc.). A fruity (cherry, blackberry) full of maturity and precision also mixes brilliantly with a very charming touch of toast brought by the 18 months of aging in barrels. An extraordinary length ends the tasting of this brilliant vintage, constituting a very favorite ! A bottle that you won't soon forget!

Following the latter's departure in 2020, the operation changed its name to become Decelle & Fils. Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the house now has 7 hectares cultivated organically on the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. The twenty vintages produced from the different appellations perfectly express the diversity of character of Burgundy's terroirs and climates.
