The wine: The "Villa Violettes" vintage is a great representation of what the lovely AOC Saint-Amour can offer. Here is indeed a delicious Gamay, very sensual, revealing itself with notes of violet, red and black fruits (strawberry, raspberry, cherry , blackcurrant) and built around a beautiful structure with character ! Ideal as an aperitif or at a romantic table, this bottle will go perfectly with a nice platter of charcuterie or poultry.

The estate: Located in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, the domaine Cheveau extends over 20 hectares (15 of Chardonnay and 5 of Gamay) spread out between Davayé and Saint-Amour. Nicolas, Julien and Aurélie manage their vines with great care, allowing a precise expression of the terroirs in each of their cuvées. The harvest is manual and each plot is vinified separately in demi-muids, tuns or stainless steel vats. Inputs are limited as much as possible so that each bottle is the truest expression of its origin. A large estate offering excellent wines of consistent quality!
