The estate: If the Boehler family has its roots in Molsheim (near Strasbourg) since at least 1650, the wine-growing adventure only really began in the 18th century when Antoine Boehler acquired the first plot of vines still cultivated today by his siblings. Passed down from generation to generation, the vineyard got a fresh start in the 1970s, when the Boehlers decided to bottle their own production. Then, in the 90s, René Boehler took over from his parents and continued to develop the business. Today, the latest generation is at work as Julien has been at the estate since 2016. Now at the head of 8 hectares, he initiated the conversion to organic farming in 2018 and 2021 will therefore be the first certified vintage.
