The estate: The two brothers Charles-Henry and Emmanuel Fourny have been at the head of Domaine Veuve Fourny since 1993. They represent the 5th family generation of this superb estate whose vines are mainly located in Vertus (Côte des Blancs). The soils are calcareous, chalky and the winemaking very little interventionist (indigenous yeasts, low dosages only made with sugar from grapes etc.). The grape variety is more than 90% made up of Chardonnay and the vineyard has an average age of around 40-45 years. The estate produces terroir Champagnes offering a beautiful roundness and tenderness while maintaining superb balance and very high precision. A house to absolutely know for lovers of blanc de blancs champagnes!
