The spirit : Armagnac Napoléon 10 years old from the Baron Gaston Legrand house is a superb eau-de-vie complex, elegant and very fragrant. Tasty fruity (peach, apricot, mirabelle plum) and floral (acacia, hawthorn) notes emerge when tasting, coated by a pretty material as well as a mild alcohol. aromas of raisin and vanilla are also present and give a very delicious balance to the whole. The brand: Founded in 1680 and based in Angeac in Charente, the maison Guy Lhéraud is a family business with 85 hectares of vines within the Crus de Cognac Petite Champagne but also in Fins Bois and Grande Champagne. The Ugni blanc (very mainly), Colombard and Folle Blanche grape varieties are planted here on a particularly limestone terroir. Guy Lhéraud began bottling his own eaux-de-vie in the 1970s and today his son Jean-Charles is at the head of the distillery, producing a range of great finesse and high precision.

In 1998, Guy Lhéraud bought the Armagnacs Baron Gaston Legrand, a former producer in the Bas-Armagnac appellation. The good conservation of historic buildings, cellars and stills is a guarantee of quality and thus allows the best winemaking and excellent distillation of the cultivated grape varieties. Marked by excellence, all Baron Gaston Legrand Armagnacs are aged in typical Gascony oak barrels as well as Limousin black oak barrels. The estate specializes in the production and refining of vintage Armagnacs of great finesse. You can also find Armagnacs dating from 1888 in the private cellar of the Lhéraud family!
