The AOC Fleurie is perhaps the most feminine vintage of Beaujolais, it is say the one where the wines are considered to be the most silky and delicate in the region. The appellation culminates between 220 and 430 meters above sea level and covers approximately 870 hectares. The Gamay grape variety is of course the master in these places where the terroir is particularly granitic. The name of the appellation evokes the beautiful springtime, making the surrounding landscapes particularly green.
