Buy AOC Côte Rôtie wines

The AOC Côte Rôtie is located in the north of the Rhône Valley and is one of the most spectacular appellations of all the French vineyard. Developed by man for more than 2,000 years, the vineyard has very steep slopes that can present elevation differences of up to 60%! Thanks to these fabulous terraces, the vines are perfectly exposed, allowing optimal ripeness. Composed to the north of a Côte Brune (with dark soils of mica-schist and clay) and a Côte Blonde (with lighter soils of granites and siliceous rocks) further south, the region is a blessed place for syrah which makes up almost all of the grape varieties, although a little viognier is also present. The latter can indeed be blended with itin wines up to a maximum of 20% (a figure rarely reached). The wines of the region are exceptional in depth and aromatic richness, certainly being among the very best of French vineyards.
