The estate: Winemaker for 7 generations, the Bodillard family now has 14 hectares spread over 7 municipalities between Beaujolais and Mâconnais. Some cuvées are already certified in Organic Farming and all will be in the years to come. The diversity of the plots allows the estate to cover a great diversityof soils (granitic sands, schists, etc.) and therefore to produce wines with varied characters. The plots are 95% oriented to the south and the vinification on the reds is Beaujolaise (carbonic maceration) to bring out a bright fruit. Renaud Bodillard offers cuvées with simple and drinkable fruit but also deep and complex wines capable of keeping for several years, even decades, in the cellar.
