The spirit : This XO rum from the Plantation brand represents the quintessence of the Caribbean. Created to celebrate the 20th year of Alexandre Gabriel as Master Blender of the Ferrand house, here is a blend of rums from 12 to 20 years old, all from Barbados. While raised for the most part in tropical latitudes, this sublime spirit also benefited from 12 to 18 months of finishing in Cognac barrels at Château de Bonbonet in France. This double aging gives it nobility and character. On the palate, we find a beautiful substance and a very great richness carried by cocoa notes, aromas of coffee, vanilla, coconut as well as a completely melted woodiness. Sublime indulgence, it is self-sufficient and will also go wonderfully with chocolate desserts.

The house : The rums of the range Plantation come from the best distilleries in the Caribbean (Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama or Trinidad). The blends are assemblies refined by Alexandre Gabriel, cellar master of Maison Ferrand. As for the vintages, they come directly from the barrel and are available in limited quantities. The Ferrand house, which markets the Plantation brand, is located in Angeac, in the golden triangle of Cognac. Moreover, some rums sometimes experience finishing in barrels from the region in order to exacerbate their complexity.
