The spirit: Distilled by Beenleigh Artisan Distillers in Brisbane, Australia, this delicious rum is a very precise having been aged for 5 years minimum in ex-Bourbon barrels. The goal: to give it a delicious substance as well as a nice fullness in the mouth. Then, in order to once again enrich the aromatics, refining in American oak barrels having contained Cognac is carried out in Normandy, within the Château du Breuil itself. No sweeteners or coloringsare added to obtain a makeup-free product offering a nice tone. The palate is generous, soft and evolves into notes of cinnamon, cocoa, vanilla and honey. A beautiful freshness is also present on the finish. An excellent amber rum which will surprise you with its typicity and its unique sweetness!

The brand: Built at the beginning of the 16th century, the Château du Breuil is a place steeped in history. Indeed, since the French Revolution, several owners have succeeded one another and different economic activities have taken over the place: linen spinning, cheese factory, chocolate factory, cider factory, etc. However, it is indeed a Calvados distillery which has occupied the premises since 1954. The property today has 42 hectares on which more than 800 varieties of apples grow (sweet, bitter, bittersweet, sour). After belonging to the Swiss Diwisa group for around thirty years, the company returned to the French flag in April 2020 and extended its activity to other spirits: whiskeys (distilled on site) and rums (refined on site) make now part of the range and are of a superb standard. Today, the brand's influence is international and honors French know-how.
