The spirit: This Ambré Agricole Rhum Profile 62 is resolutely the greatest gourmand of its kind range. Its aging for almost two years in American oak barrels gives it a consensual and generous profile , allowing an ideal introduction to agricultural rum. Particularly harmonious, its aromatic evolves on fruity notes of apricot, peach, pineapple and also expresses aromas of honey acacia, sugar cane as well as warm spices (pepper, vanilla, cloves etc.). A very well-balanced oaky touch definitively asserts the beautiful general complexity of this great spirit. Be careful, there won't be something for everyone because volumes are very limited each year (900 bottles only)!

The brand: Smallest distillery in Martinique, Neisson is a convoluted kaleidoscope of green and pink houses that seem to have wanted to imitate the surrounding lush vegetation. Since 1932, three generations have succeeded each other, preserving know-how from the greatest Martinican tradition. Grégory Vernant-Neisson, young forty-year-old at the head of the distillery, explains about his rum which benefits from the AOC Rhum Agricole Martinique: “The first thing to know about Martinican rum is that it is made from the juice of sugar cane directly, not molasses.” Behind the Neisson philosophy, particular attention is paid to terroir value. Because Martinique, with its climate and volcanic soil (particularly in the north of the island where the distillery is located), stamps the aromatic palette of Neisson rums with particular flavors recognized throughout the world.
