The wine : "Sur le mont" proves once again that the appellations of the Mâconnais deserve more notoriety and are currently part of the best quality-price ratio in Burgundy! This beautiful bottle is indeedan ideal link between roundness, power and minerality. Here, beautiful aromas of peach, pear and mirabelle plum combine with very gourmet notes of butter, vanilla and toast from the aging carried out partly in barrels. A touch of citrus is also present within a lively, round mouthfeel structured by beautiful ripe fruit. An excellent Chardonnay from the Cheveau estate!

The domain: Located in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, the cheveau domain extends over 20 hectares (15 of Chardonnay and 5 of Gamay) spread between Davayé and Saint-Amour. Nicolas, Julien and Aurélie manage their vines with great care, allowing a precise expression of the terroirs in each of their cuvées. The harvest is manual and each plot is vinified separately in demi-muids, tuns or stainless steel vats. Inputs are kept to a minimum so that each bottle is the truest expression of its origin. A large estate offering excellent wines of constant quality!
