The spirit : This Cognac VSOP from Guy Lhéraud plays the card of balance and greediness to perfection. Composed of a blend of eaux-de-vie aged for minimum 5 years in barrels, this delicious spirit reveals on the palate aromas of stewed white fruits, caramelized orange peel as well as sweet notes of vanilla. The body of this Cognac is rather dense and the tannins are extremely silky, giving the whole a disconcerting ease of tasting. A Cognac with majestic balance !

The house : Founded in 1680 and based in Angeac in Charente, the maison Guy Lhéraud is a family business with 85 hectares of vines in the Cognac Petite Champagne Crus but also in Fins Bois and Grande Champagne. The Ugni blanc (very mainly), Colombard and Folle Blanche grape varieties are planted here on a particularly limestone soil. Guy Lhéraud began bottling his own eaux-de-vie in the 1970s and today his son Jean-Charles is at the head of the distillery, producing a range of great finesse and high precision.
