Key words: Finesse / Velvety / Minerality
The wine: La Pierre is a superb Cahors all in concentration and finesse made by the Croisille family. The aging of this great wine was carried out for 10 months in a limestone vat from the region's terroir and which the siblings had tailor-made by a local craftsman ! Energy and minerality thus emerge from this unique bottle which evolves in the mouth into a velvety substance, accompanied by a very charming fruity ( black cherry, strawberry, blackberry) as well as a graphite tip. A large bottle of terroir already perfectly accessible but also capable of improving over the years!

Grape variety: 100% Malbec

The estate: In 1979, Bernard and Cécile Croisille arrive in the town of Luzech, very close to Cahors, without any technical background but with a consuming passion for the land and a life project. After difficult first years of planting and clearing their 7 hectares, the first harvest of 1984 finally arrived. Initially invested in the cooperative system, the couple decided 10 years later to vinify their own vintages. In 2000, a brand new winery was built and things accelerated when Germain, their 2nd son, joined them at the estate. Then, Nicolas, Germain's childhood friend, also joined the farm in 2012. In 2013, the estate was officially converted to organic farming and in 2015 it was finally the turn of Simon, last of the Croisille siblings, joined the family adventure in 2015. In recent years, the wines have continued to gain in precision and the Croisille have today around thirty hectares allowing them to offer a beautiful range of wines ranging from pleasure vintages to complex and refined Cahors.
