Wine: As the name suggests, this cuvée is a delicious 100% Malbec far from the clichés of Bordeaux where woodiness is sometimes predominant. Here, pretty fresh black fruits stand out on the palate and mingle with delicious spicy notes. A wine of pleasure but with a beautiful character and a very beautiful intensity. The Domain: Taken over in 1992 by the Chevrier family, the Château Bel-Air La Royère consists of 14 hectares and has been managed since 2011 by Corinne. The property's soils are clay-limestone and the vineyard has been fully certified organic since the 2019 vintage. A large proportion of Malbec (30% of the grape variety) is the property's signature. The estate is part of the elite of the AOC Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux and is capable of composing cuvées for pleasure as well as high-end wines for laying down.
