Wine: Here is a ne safe and iconic value of the region ! This cuvée Crianza aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels develops lovely notes of plum and cherry accompanied spice (clove, pepper). A beautiful woodiness with vanilla and some evolution notes (leather in particular) contribute to the overall complexity. An excellent value for money for a bottle capable of remaining in the cellar for a few more years to improve. A Spanish delight!

The Estate: The Bodegas Izadi were born in 1987 in the heart of Rioja thanks to Gonzalo Antón, restaurateur from the Basque Country, in association with some friends and entrepreneurs from the region. The exploitation was the starting point of what is today the Artevino Group which also includes the Orben (Rioja), Finca Villacreces (Ribera del Duero) and Bodegas Vetus (Toro) estates. Today, Izadi covers 180 hectares (100 of which are owned) located in a triangle (symbol of the brand) between Villabuena de Álava, Samaniego and Ábalos. The majority of the plots are south facing and protected by the microclimate of Rioja Alavesa allowing the production of high quality grapes.
