The house : Ffounded in 1680 and based in Angeac in Charente, the maison Guy Lhéraud is a family business with 85 hectares of vines in the Cognac Petite Champagne Crus but also in Fins Bois and Grande Champagne. The Ugni blanc (very mainly), Colombard and Folle Blanche grape varieties are planted here on a particularly limestone soil. Guy Lhéraud began to bottler his own eaux-de-vie in the 1970s and today his son Jean-Charles is at the head of the distillery, producing a range of great finesse and high precision.
In 1998, Guy Lhéraud bought Armagnacs Baron Gaston Legrand, a former producer in the Bas-Armagnac appellation. The good preservation of the buildings, cellars and historic stills is a guarantee of quality and thus allows the best vinification and excellent distillation of the cultivated grape varieties. Marked by excellence, all Baron Gaston Legrand Armagnacs are aged in typical Gascony oak barrels as well as in Limousin black oak barrels. The estate specializes in the production and refining of vintage Armagnacs of great finesse. We can also find Armagnacs dating from 1888 in the private cellar of the Lhéraud family!
