Bodegas Izadi is the work of Gonzalo Antón, a great restaurateur in the Basque Country, who joined forces with some friends and entrepreneurs to to create a benchmark farm within Rioja. Today, the property is part of the Artevino Group which includes other farms such as Fincas Villacreces (Ribera del Duero), Orben (DOCa Rioja or Bodegas Vetus (DO Toro). The star grape variety at Izadi is the famous Tempranillo, an illustrious red variety, making it possible to create wines with character and good aging potential Since 2001, Gonzalo's son, Lalo Antón, has managed the property and in turn has helped to promote the brand internationally.
