The wine : Il rosso dell'Abazia is THE great red wine of the Serafini & Vidotto estate. Made from a blend of typically Bordeaux grape varieties, this cuvée nevertheless transports us straight to Italy. The texture is indeed velvety, the silky tannins as desired and the body is particularly indulgent. The aromatics of this beautiful bottle are particularly warm, evolving towards aromas of dark fruits (morello cherry, blackberry), sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon) as well as pepper and eucalyptus. The whole is particularly charming and expresses a measured power. Pairings with red meats and charcuterie. "Fuoriclasse" (outstanding) as our Italian friends say!

The estate : Francesco Serafini and Antonello Vidotto founded the 20-hectare estate bearing their names in 1986. At that time, few vineyards existed in this very young DOC of Montello e Colli Asolani, located northwest of the city of Treviso in Veneto. Nevertheless, they fell in love with the valley, the hills, as well as the woods and banks of the Piave river. The passion of these two men for their region is undoubtedly reflected in their wines, where the pursuit of finesse and purity magnifies their clay-iron-rich terroir.
