The spirit : This XO rum from the Planteray brand (formerly "Plantation") represents the quintessence of the Caribbean. Created to celebrate Alexandre Gabriel's 20th year as Master Assembler of Maison Ferrand, here is a blend of rums aged 12 to 20 years, all from Barbados. If the aging process has been carried out to a very large extent under tropical latitudes,  This sublime spirit  also benefited  of 12 to 18 months finishing in Cognac barrels within the Château de Bonbonet in France. This double aging gives it nobility and character. On the palate, we enjoy a beautiful body and a delightful aromatic complexity, carried by cocoa notes, aromas of coffee, vanilla, coconut as well as a totally melted woodiness. Exquisitely indulgent, you can enjoy this rum by itself as an aperitif but it will also pair wonderfully with chocolate desserts.

The brand: Rums from the Planteray range come from the best distilleries in the Caribbean (Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama or Trinidad). The  The brand's collection is divided into two distinct ranges: blends on one side and vintage rums on the other. Blends are refined by Alexandre Gabriel, cellar master of Maison Ferrand. As for vintage rums, they come directly from the barrel and are only available in limited quantities. The Ferrand house which markets the Planteray brand is located in Angeac, in the golden triangle of Cognac.  Moreover, some rums are finished in barrels from this french region in order to exacerbate their complexity. A benchmark brand in the spirits sector that you can trust with your eyes closed !
