The wine: You don't know the Beaumes-de-Venise appellation ? This vintage Les Hauts will strongly encourage you to explore it! Here is indeed a delicious blend of Grenache and Syrah expressing gourmet notes of black fruits (cherry, blackberry), tasty mild spices (pepper, garrigue) as well as fresh and light chocolate touch. In the mouth, the body becomes suave and velvety, and the tasting ends in a nice length. A very beautiful wine from the Rhône Valley and excellent value for money!

The estate: In 2014, Matthieu Ponson created the Domaine by Piéblanc following a crush. Initially with 7 hectares, the property quickly developed, today counting 38, spread between the AOC Beaumes-de-Venise (15 hectares), Ventoux (10 hectares), Côtes-du-Rhône (7 hectares) and Gigondas (6 hectares). Located at the foot of Mont Ventoux, the plots of the vineyard benefit from a warm Mediterranean climate and are mostly located around 300m above sea level, allowing beautiful freshness and acidity to be preserved in the wines made. Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan make up almost the entire grape variety growing on a poor clay-limestone and sandy terroir, requiring the vines to dive deep in order to find the necessary nutrients. The estate has been officially certified in Organic Agriculture since 2020 and the last plots purchased in 2021 by Matthieu (notably those of the Bourdon vintage in Côtes-du-Rhône) are currently being converted. Discover this very pretty estate in full expansion and whose wines will certainly delight you!
