Purchase Savagnin wines

On this page, you will find all wines made entirely or partially from the Savagnin grape variety. An iconic variety of the Jura region (it is almost nonexistent beyond its borders), this grape covers 300 hectares here within the AOC Arbois, Château-Chalon, L'Étoile as well as Côtes-du-Jura and is inseparable from the Vin Jaune it produces. The latter is a non-ouillé wine (evaporation is never topped up) aged for a minimum of 6 years and 3 months in barrels. Thus, part of the wine is in direct contact with the air, allowing the formation of a protective yeast veil.Thanks to this incredible process, yellow wines offer an enormous aromatic depth evolving notably on notes of walnut, hazelnut, almond, and curry. The yellow wine is also known for being able to be stored in a cellar for several centuries. Finally, the savagnin can also be vinified in a classic manner.
