AOC Meursault

The Meursault appellation is one of the most renowned in all of Burgundy. Belonging to the Côte de Beaune, the AOC is located as an extension of the also very famous AOCs Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet, further north. 390 hectares are planted here and produce 98% white wines made from the Chardonnay grape variety, known for their roundness and smoothness thanks to aging often done in oak barrels. 28% of the terroirs have a Premier Cru classification, notably including the famous climats Les Charmes and Les Genevrières. Tasting a Meursault is always a great moment of contemplation for enthusiasts.
