The wine: The red Fantastique vintage of Château Sainte-Marguerite is definitely one of the very best Provençal reds ! Aged for 2 years in barrels, this delicious blend of Syrah and Grenache offers an aromatic of great complexity evolving on notes of sweet and exotic spices (vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa , licorice, roasted, coconut), velvety black fruits (cherry, blackberry, plum, blackcurrant) and is structured by beautiful melted tannins. An exceptional length completes the tasting of this magnificent bottle capable of being appreciated now but also of aging elegantly in the cellar for a decade or more. Impossible to forget once tasted!

The estate: The family Fayard bought the Château Sainte-Marguerite on impulse in 1977: the quality of the plant material, the Mediterranean climate as well as the soils essentially composed of weathered clay and schist were a real favorite for Jean-Pierre Fayard and his wife. At the time of only 11 hectares, this superb Provençal estate is today made up of a heritage of 75 hectares of vines. This Cru Classé de Provence has since come a long way and has great ambitions. The finalization in March 2020 of a superb brand new winery is proof of this. Certified Organic and Vegan, the property offers a magnificent high-level range that honors Provence: rosés but also reds and whites live up to the ambitions set by the family.
