The Touraine AOC spans 5,000 hectares and 143 municipalities. Its large area allows the 650 local winegrowers to produce a wide range of white, rosé and red wines. The grape variety is very varied: chenin, sauvignon, chardonnay for the whites or even gamay, cabernet-franc, pinot noir for the reds. All styles of wine are present in the area, but production is mainly focused on pleasure wines with a fruity character. The terroir of this beautiful appellation is very mainly clay-limestone. The Sauvignon produced here by Domaine Bernard Fleuriet & Fils in collaboration with Domaine de la P'tite Vauvise is an excellent example of the very good value for money that can exist locally.
