The wine: La Croix du Pin is one of the estate's flagship vintages Plou & Fils and once tasted, it’s easy to understand why! Presenting an excellent value for money, this tasty Sauvignon indeed has an expressive aromatic which immediately charms. Carried by citrus notes (lemon, grapefruit), aromas of green apple, pear, as well as a exotic touch (passion fruit) are also present. Lots of freshness shines through on the palate, making this pretty bottle an ideal companion for aperitifs, fish and seafood!

The estate: Located on the banks of the Loire a few kilometers from the famous town of Amboise, The Plou & Fils estate has a very long winemaking tradition. More than 500 years of family history have in fact built this beautiful vineyard which today reaches 108 hectares. Growing on clay-limestone soils, the whole is HVE 3 certified and around ten hectares are even managed according to the precepts of organic farming. The estate's red and rosé wines are made from the Gamay, Malbec (or Côt) and Cabernet-franc grape varieties, while the white and sparkling wines are produced with the Chenin, Chardonnay and Sauvignon varieties. The vintages offered wonderfully represent the great wine diversity of the Loire and also represent superb value for money!
