Collection: Purchase AOC Sauternes wines

Located southeast of Bordeaux, the magnificent Sauternes appellation resonates with great enthusiasts of sweet wines. The production of these sublime sweet wines is made possible thanks to very specific climatic characteristics that notably allow the formation of morning mists which promote the development of noble rot (botrytis cinerea). This acts on the grapes by concentrating their sugar and acidity as well as their aromas. Enclosed in the Graves area, the Sauternes vineyard extends over more than 1,500 hectares with gravel and clay-limestone terroirs. The grape varieties planted here are Sémillon (70%), Sauvignon Blanc as well as the minority Muscadelle. The blend of these three varieties allows for the creation of wines that are among the greatest sweet wines in the world.
