The wine: As usual with the Fleuriet family, tastings are always happy ! This "Tradition" red vintage in AOC Sancerre is therefore no exception and presents a very nice balance. Notes of red and black fruits (strawberry, raspberry, cherry, blackberry) evolve on the palate, well supported by a pleasabt oakyness touch bringing toasty and vanilla notes. A nice density is also present on the palate, making this Pinot noir a nice aperitif partner but above all an excellent meal companion! Don't hesitate to pair it with white meat or poultry…bloody delicious!

The estate: Located in Menetou-Râtel, right next to Sancerre, the Fleuriet estate is managed by Mathieu and Benoit along with their father, Bernard. With their great nature and an extraordinary sense of hospitality, the two brothers and their father produce magnificent wines where the terroir is expressed with great clarity. Covering 30 hectares (mainly in the Sancerre AOC but also in Menetou-Salon), the Sauvignon grape is here in the spotlight and accompanied by a bit of Pinot noir. The estate has been certified in Organic Agriculture since 2016 and Demeter (biodynamic) since 2021. The vinifications are done with the minimum possible intervention in order to let the terroir express itself (indigenous yeasts, minimal use of sulfur, etc.). The range of the estate is varied and all the vintages have their own identity. The only thing in common: the quality of the wines!

Très bon Sancerre avec...
Très bon Sancerre avec de la matière, des belles notes de fruits rouges et noirs et une fine touche boisée gourmande. C'est délicat et très bien fait avec une bonne longueur.

Bon Sancerre rouge
Un bon pinot noir du sancerrois, sur le fruit avec une légère trame boisée très fine. Très agréable, dommage que les prix montent autant dans la région depuis quelques années.

Joli Sancerre rouge
Excellent Sancerre rouge sur le fruit, la légèreté et le croquant mais avec du fond tout de même. Agréable à l'apéritif comme sur un bon poulet rôti !
