The wine: The vintage Tradition blanc of the Fleuriet estate expresses with class the very soul of Sauvignon. On the palate, it reveals beautiful citrus notes (lemon, grapefruit), as well as aromas of green apple, peach and pear. A fine mineral framework underlines the whole, leading to a very pleasant and salivating finish. The estate: Located in Menetou-Râtel, right next to Sancerre, the Fleuriet estate is managed by Mathieu and Benoit along with their father, Bernard. With their great nature and an extraordinary sense of hospitality, the two brothers and their father produce magnificent wines where the terroir is expressed with great clarity. Covering 30 hectares (mainly in the Sancerre AOC but also in Menetou-Salon), the Sauvignon grape is here in the spotlight and accompanied by a bit of Pinot noir. The estate has been certified in Organic Agriculture since 2016 and Demeter (biodynamic) since 2021. The vinifications are done with the minimum possible intervention in order to let the terroir express itself (indigenous yeasts, minimal use of sulfur, etc.). The range of the estate is varied and all the vintages have their own identity. The only thing in common: the quality of the wines!
