The DOC Montello e Colli Asolani is a small and relatively young appellation created in 1977 located in the province of Treviso, in Veneto, Italy. Here, 6,000 hectares of vineyards stretch over  beautiful rolling hills and within 5 municipalities:  Crocetta del Montello, Giavera del Montello, Montebelluna, Nervesa della Battaglia, and Volpago del Montello. Red wines and white wines are produced here. The most common grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot as well as Carménère for the reds, while  Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Bianchetta Trevigniana, and Manzoni Bianco represent the majority of white production.The region is full of hidden gems and lesser-known great wines, clearly deserving the attention of enthusiasts!
