Irish Whiskeys Waterford

Created in 2016 by Mark Reynier, the distillery has indeed completely disrupted the industry's norms with a simple goal: putting barley back at the heart of whiskey and offering total transparency and traceability to their customers. When purchasing a bottle, you have access to multiple pieces of information such as the origin of the barley used (always Irish), the distillation date of your whiskey, the duration of its aging, the types of casks used, etc. The originality of  Waterford also lies in the fact that the barley used comes exclusively from local farms and is monitored in a parcel-based manner by identifying specific terroirs.The cuvées produced are thus mostly Single Farm Origin, meaning whiskeys made from barley from a single farm with the aim of highlighting a specific terroir. A unique vision in the industry and providing a stunning tasting experience. Mark Reynier even extends the analogy with the wine world to the production of some Single Malt whiskeys in organic and biodynamic agriculture !
