The spirit: Displaying a beautiful aromatic complexity enhanced with a hint of peat, this magnificent Irish Single Malt Whiskey offers a delicious malty character typical of the signature of the Waterford house. Notes of spices (pepper, cloves), orange zest and chocolate are also present. 4 types of barrels are used during aging: ex-bourbon barrels, natural sweet wine barrels as well as French and American oak complement each other wonderfully here. The body is delicious, has a pleasant lightness in the mouth and despite the 47°, the alcohol is particularly sweet. Stunning precision!

Faithful to the revolutionary principles of the Irish Waterford distillery, this Cuvée Argot is also defined by a local barley coming from 14 Irish farms. All the information relating to the manufacture of your whiskey is in fact accessible thanks to a TEIREOIR CODE (terroir code) placed at the back of the bottle, allowing you in particular to know the farms of origin of the barley used, its harvest date, the types of barrels used, the aging period or even the exact date of distillation. The brand: Created in 2016, the distillery Waterford is a real UFO in the world of whiskey! At the origin of this brilliant project, we find a great spirits man: Mark Reynier. With extensive experience in the sector, the latter had notably already brought back from its ashes the Scottish distillery Bruichladdich. With Waterford, therefore had from the beginning a very specific desire: to produce exceptional Single Malts thanks to t5321>local barley, all with as much transparency as possible and with traceability total. The choice of setting up the distillery in the south-east of Ireland is therefore no coincidence: it is in the land of clover that we find the highest quality barley in the world ( even the Scots say it!).

In partnership with around a hundred local farms and thanks to plot monitoring, the house creates the principle of Single Farm Origin, meaning for a whiskey that its barley only comes from a single farm and therefore from a very specific terroir . A vision offering many analogies with the world of wine but a complete revolution for the sector...certain vintages are even certified in organic and biodynamic !
