IN CONVERSION TO ORGANIC FARMING
Key words: Gourmet / Oaky / Round
The wine: Farmed in oak barrels, this beautiful chardonnay from the plot of old vines Chantemerle expresses a generous and rounded character. Buttery and vanilla notes mingle with balance and gourmet with aromas of peach, citrus, dried fruits (hazelnut) as well as a touch of mild spices. A Burgundian character would almost emerge from this beautiful and consensual wine! A bottle that will be sufficient in itself but which will express its best at the table with grilled fish, white meat or a selection of cheeses.

The estate: Jérôme Arnoux is a character well known in the Jura region. The native of Montigny-lès-Arsures has more than 25 years of winemaking behind him. After having been Stéphane Tissot's right-hand man, he managed the Château de Chavannes then took care of the wines of the Caveau de la Reine Jeanne. A beautiful CV with only one line missing: the one in his name. This has been done since 2015, the year in which he began to operate his 17 hectares of vines on his own. The conversion to organic farming has begun and only corresponds to the precepts already anchored in the work carried out at the estate: indigenous yeasts, minimum interventionism, etc. The wines produced wonderfully express the richness of the Jura terroirs and Jérôme’s exceptional winemaking talent.
