The wine: Offering both roundness and freshness, This beautiful Chenin from Domaine Pinon is very elegant. Its aromatic palette ranges from quince to apricot via pear and ripe citrus fruits. The estate: Reigning over 15 hectares of certified organic Chenin since the 2003 vintage, the Pinon family comes from a long winemaking tradition since their link to the vine dates back to 1786! Julien represents the 8th generation and is today at the head of this benchmark operation in Vouvray. The estate's plots have varied exposures and a large part of the vines are over 40 years old. The whites are vinified in oak barrels on fine lees for 4 to 5 months while the sparkling wines undergo long aging on slats, allowing the production of very high quality vintages. Interventionism is minimal at all stages of production to be as close as possible to the terroir. A family offering delicious Chenins that you will love!
