The wine: Vhere is a great discovery, this Minervois “Les Traverses” from the Courbissac estate! Nicely balanced, the nose and palate evolve with aromas of morello cherry, strawberry, raspberry but also black olive, pepper and thyme. The whole is therefore expressive and nicely perfumed while being supported by a beautiful freshness bringing out a minerality limestone. An excellent vintage providing a great tasting pleasure while maintaining great value for money!

The estate: Reinhard Brundig buys the Courbissac estate in 2002 upon falling in love with this isolated place lost in the middle of the scrubland. Construction is slow: he has to renovate the cellar, buy the first casks for his breeding and vinify the different plots of a place that cannot be tamed so easily! In 2013, Reinhard sought to renew his style: he wanted fresher, more elegant wines and it was in November 2013 that he met Brunnhilde Claux. The latter then takes over the technical part and sets up gentle whole-cluster vinification: the aging then becomes more precise, the wines soften, relax and a new page begins for the property with 17 hectares cultivated in organic farming. Since then, the same guideline has been applied and the tandem has joined forces to reveal the noble terroir of the region.
