The wine : Here is a very lovely Chardonnay from Beaujolais with no added sulfites! With beautiful liveliness, the "Les Pouliches" cuvée is the latest creation from Domaine Cheveau. Perfectly crafted, it expresses itself with tender notes of citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), peach, and pear, but is also crossed by a delicious mineral backbone. A delight of great precision and finesse that stands on its own as an aperitif but will also pair perfectly with salads, seafood, and fish.

The estate : Located in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation Pouilly-Fuissé, the Cheveau estate covers 20 hectares (15 of Chardonnay and 5 of Gamay) spread between Davayé and Saint-Amour. Nicolas, Julien, and Aurélie tend their vines with great care, allowing a precise expression of the terroirs in each of their cuvées. The harvest is manual and each plot is vinified separately in demi-muids, foudres, or stainless steel tanks. Additives are kept to a minimum so that each bottle is the truest expression of its origin. A great estate offering excellent wines of consistent quality!
