The spirit : Chivas Mizunara is the first Scottish whisky to have been finished in Mizunara oak barrels. This Japanese wood, more porous than average, gives a particularly elegant character to this Blended Scotch. If the Chivas style is indeed very present with a soft, creamy and gourmand character evolving on fruity notes (peach, pear), vanilla, hazelnut and caramel, a spicy touch (pepper, cinnamon) also delicately perfumes the palate with a beautiful roundness. In summary, a very good Scotch which would recall the delicacy of certain Japanese whiskys and a very nice initiation for amateurs wishing to discover the typicalities of Mizunara!

The brand: We can no longer present Chivas! Founded in 1801 by two brothers James and John Chivas in Aberdeen, Scotland, the small delicatessen has since become the leading premium Scotch whisky brand in Europe and Asia. The Chivas Regal brand was launched in 1909 when the Chivas Brothers group launched into the American market. Since 1950, Chivas whiskys have been patiently created at the Strathisla distillery, the oldest and perhaps most impressive in the Highlands. In 2001, Pernod-Ricard bought the Scottish brand in order to continue to promote its round and creamy whiskys internationally which delight neophytes and amateurs.
