The wine: The Berty vintage is undoubtedly one of the finest wines in from the Coteaux de l'Ardèche that you will have the opportunity to taste! This magnificent blend of Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault shines with its power, its aromatic depth as well as its great balance. Aged for 18 months, 80% in oak barrels and 20% in amphorae, this cuvée offers a suave and ample body as well as ripe tannins. Its aromatic evolves with notes of candied red and black fruits (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry), aromas of garrigue (thyme, pepper), a well-melted oak and enchants us with its magnificent length. Magnificent pairings with red meats and game in perspective as well as great aging potential!

The estate: If the Château de la Selve has a long history dating from the 13th century, it has belonged to the Chazallon family since the beginning of the 1990s. In 2002, the son of the family, Benoît, decided to create a winery. As soon as they arrive, they practice organic and biodynamic cultivation there in order to respect the limestone soils and the surrounding lands scented with scrubland. Today with 44 hectares, the estate's grape varieties are made up of Cinsault, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Viognier. A little-known gem to discover!
