The Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot appellation is located in the commune of Vougeot and covers 50 hectares, making this climat the largest Grand Cru in Burgundy. Due to its large size, the wines produced can be quite diverse, so it is difficult to define a definitive typicity for the wines produced. The Clos de Vougeot is bordered by small stone walls and stretches over gentle slopes at an altitude of around 250 meters. In any case, the cuvées produced are magnificent expressions of the Pinot Noir grape variety and are best enjoyed after several years of aging.
