What a lovely surprise when Frédéric, owner with his wife Cécile of the domaine Perdrix-Lasouche, contacted me to taste their range of wines! All the cuvées presented were of an excellent level, making it difficult to choose. The couple indeed does a magnificent job by working on small yields and pampering their 6.5 hectares in conversion to organic farming on the small AOC Duché d'Uzès and IGP Cévennes. Their varied terroirs (limestone, clay, marl)bring minerality and structure to their wines, all endowed with a very beautiful elegance and a great aromatic indulgence. A gem halfway between the extreme south of the Rhône Valley and Languedoc-Roussillon !
