The DOCG Barolo is one of the most beautiful wine appellations in Italy. It is located in the Piedmont region, and its name simply comes from the small town of Barolo. Spanning approximately 1,700 hectares, the appellation is known for only one grape variety: Nebbiolo, producing wines with a pale color, very intense aromas, endowed with beautiful tannins and a significant aging potentialimportant. The vines are located on rolling hills at an altitude between 150 and 450m. The clay-limestone and sometimes sandy terroir brings out the best in the grape variety, making Barolo the "king of wines, wine of kings", as the famous saying goes.
