DOCG Barolo

The Barolo DOCG is one of the finest Italian wine appellations. It is located in the Piedmont region, and its name simply comes from the small town of Barolo. Spanning approximately 1,700 hectares, the appellation is dedicated to only one grape variety: Nebbiolo, producing wines with a  pale color, very intense aromas, beautiful tannins, and a significant aging potential . The vineyards are located on rolling hills at altitudes between 150 and 450 meters. The clay-limestone and sometimes sandy terroir brings out the best in the grape, making Barolo the "king of wines, wine of kings", as the famous saying goes.
