The AOC Savennières  extends in Anjou over a small area of 150 hectares, producing exclusively white wines from the chenin grape variety. Renowned as perhaps the finest appellation of Loire for this grape variety, this neighbor of the Coteaux-du-Layon appellation evolves on schist, sandy, and volcanic soils, providing a lot of maturity, depth, and richness to the wines produced. The vintages can often be kept for several years or even decades in the cellar. An area that the Domaine Ogereau exploits wonderfully!
