AOC Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil

The AOC Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, neighboring the Bourgueil appellation, is located between the cities of Angers and Tours and covers just over 1,000 hectares. The wines produced here are mainly red and a small amount of rosé, both made from the cabernet franc grape variety. The terroirs are mostly composed of sands and gravels as well as tuffeau (limestone). The cuvées produced generally express of beautiful fruitiness supple and full of finesse, delighting enthusiasts of the style. On certain terroirs, the wines show more presence and character, and can therefore be easily cellared for several years.
