Collection: Buy AOC Beaumes-de-Venise wines

If the vine has been present in Beaumes-de-Venise since Antiquity, it was not until 2005 that it became an appellation in its own right . Indeed, between 1957 and 2004, Beaumes-de-Venise was first integrated into AOC Côtes-du-Rhône then to Côtes-du-Rhône Villages. Today, the appellation covers more than 700 hectares allowing only the production of red wines. Be careful not to confuse it with the AOC Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise which covers the same area but is reserved for the production of a delicious Vin Doux Naturel based on Muscat. Here, the grape varieties Grenache (present at least 50% in the wines), Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan lead the way and flourish wonderfully thanks to a warm climate with a Mediterranean influence as well as clay-limestone and sandy soils. Finally, some white grape varieties can also be used in red wines (10% maximum), constituting a signature with certain producers.
