AOC Patrimonio

The AOC Patrimonio covers approximately 450 hectares and is located in the north of Corsica. Created in 1968, it is the island's first officially recognized appellation. The vineyard is protected from the Sirocco by the surrounding mountains and develops on clay-limestone as well as schist and granite soils. The grape variety Niellucciu is predominant and must be present at a minimum of 90% in red wines and 75% in rosés, the latter being complemented by the varieties Sciacarellu and Grenache. For white wines, Vermentino (or Rolle) is the only authorized grape variety. The wines produced are among the best in all of Corsica, expressing for the reds notes of red and black fruits as well as beautiful spices and aromas of garrigue. The whites, for their part, stand out for their beautiful minerality and floral and fruity aromas. Finally, the rosés are very fresh and lively delights, providing a lot of pleasure.
